We got there at 10:30 A.M. and
started setting up and scoping out the area. To my surprise, they actually
gave us a large riding area. Even though the floor was a little bit slick,
you couldn't ask for a better place to ride. It made up for itself by being
perfectly flat with no seams or cracks, and for being indoors with A/C. My
only real complaint was the noise level. I could have used some earplugs.

The bigger the crowd the
better, but in this case, the turn out wasn't quite as big as I had
anticipated on. It was the usual show, Hector Garcia on the mic.
announcing each rider, music blaring from the speakers and all of us
ripping it up on the showroom floor. We started off with all of us
cruising across the floor in a hang nothing. Then, if I remember
correctly, Art Thomason started off the show with one of his links.
After Art's opening run, the show went in this order, 1st Jesse
Edwards; 2nd Cesar Calderon; 3rd Kelly Baldwin; 4th Lee Edwards; 5th
Charles Hawkins; and then back to Art Thomason. I won't go into
great detail about what each riding was pulling, but the one
performance that really caught my eye was Jesse Edward's. He is the
newest and youngest rider out of all of us, and he is already doing
tricks like Karl Kruiser into Funky Chickens, Steam Rollers to
Hitchikers and Hang-5's on the pedal. As a whole, everyone rode
exceptionally well with very few touches or mess ups. I would have
to say that this is probably one of the cleanest performances we've
ever pulled off.
